Ingredients
Fruit Salsa
- 1 granny smith apple, diced
- 1 lime (or lemon) squeezed
- 3 cups fruit chopped small. ( I used watermelon, blueberries, and strawberries)
- 1 jalapeno, minced (more or less depending on heat of the pepper and your preference)
- 4 tablespoons of jam or jelly (raspberry or strawberry)
Cinnamon Chips
- 10- flour tortillas 10″
- Olive oil spray or brush with melted butter.
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1-2 teaspoons cinnamon
- A sprinkle of nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
Salsa
- Combine all ingredients and stir gently to combine.
- It's best served at room temperature.
Cinnamon Chips
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Combine cinnamon & sugar. Set aside.
- Stack a few tortillas and cut them into 12 wedges. Continue with the remaining tortillas.
- Spray slices with olive oil spray or brush with melted butter.
- Sprinkle each side lightly with the sugar mixture.
- Place on baking sheets and bake 8-13 minutes or until crisp. It will depend on the thickness of your tortillas. Flip during the cooking if needed.
Notes
- Note: I garnished with stars for the 4th of July by using a star cooking cutter and stamping slices of watermelon and granny smith. Super cute garnish but not necessary.
- Add more or less jalapeno as desired. The heat is really nice in this dish. I used a whole jalapeno.
