1cupshredded CheddarMonterary Jack or Pepper Jack cheese
2cans8 oz refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count)
Shredded lettucechopped tomatoes, olives, jalapenos, taco sauce, pico or salsa, sour cream, guacamole as desired
Instructions
Heat oven to 375°F. In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef until no longer pink. Add taco seasoning mix and ½ cup water. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes or until slightly thickened. In a medium bowl, mix the beef mixture and cheese together. Let cool
Unroll both cans of dough; separate into 16 triangles. On ungreased large cookie sheet, arrange triangles in ring so short sides of triangles form a 5-inch circle in center. Dough will overlap. Dough ring should look like the sun.
Spoon beef mixture on the half of each triangle closest to center of ring.
Bring each dough triangle up over filling, tucking dough under bottom layer of dough to secure it. Repeat around ring until entire filling is enclosed (some filling might show a little).
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until dough is golden brown and thoroughly baked. Cool 5 to 10 minutes before cutting into serving slices.

Notes
1. Use a large baking sheet or pizza pan. You’ll want space to build that classic ring shape—placing a small bowl or ramekin in the center can help you achieve a symmetrical circle.2. Brown your ground beef well. (or substitute ground turkey or chicken) Get a good sear on your ground beef before adding taco seasoning. Drain any extra grease to keep the ring from getting soggy. Let the meat cool.4. Don’t overfill the crescent triangles. Stick to about 1–2 tablespoons of filling per triangle so it wraps easily and bakes evenly.5. Tuck and pinch the dough well. Pull the triangle tips over the filling and tuck them under the inner edge. Pinch the sides so it doesn’t burst open while baking.6. Brush with egg wash. A quick brush of beaten egg gives your taco ring that shiny, golden finish.7. Serve with toppings in the center. After baking, load the center with any of your favorites: shredded lettuce, tomatoes, olives, guacamole, and sour cream, and be sure to have salsa for dipping.
