Seasoning salts add something special to any meal. Spice up an everyday cut of steak, chicken, or pork, grilled vegetables, and soups. I use it on popcorn, crostini, and garlic bread, you bet. It always brings out a delicious new flavor.
This salt smells heavenly and tastes incredible. It’s so much better than any flavored salt from the grocery store. And bonus, it’s so easy to make!
Uses
There are all sorts of ways to use rosemary salt. Here are a few ideas:
Rosemary Salt is delicious on any type of roasted or grilled vegetables.
Sprinkle on pork, chicken, or eggs
Season grilled or roasted potatoes or vegetables
Use in (or on) bread and focaccia recipes
Add to hot popcorn and cashews, Marcona almonds, or really any nuts
Combine with a loaf of rustic bread for a beautiful, homemade gift
Rosemary Salt
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup fresh rosemary leaves (packed)
- 1/2 cup coarse salt
- 1 1/2 cups kosher salt
Instructions
- Put the rosemary leaves and coarse salt in a food processor
- Blend until the rosemary is combined with the salt.
- Add the kosher salt; stir until combined thoroughly.
- Spread out on a baking sheet to dry for 8 hours.
- Transfer to small jars with tight-fitting lids. It keeps indefinitely for use in your favorite recipes.
