Baked Brie Appetizer
Let's kick things off with the star of the show: the baked brie appetizer. This irresistible dish combines the creamy goodness of brie cheese with whatever your heart desires! A few of my favorites are Baked Brie with Honey, Jam or Lemon Curd. I change the brie toppings based on the occasion or season.
Spring / Summer Appetizers: Baked brie with strawberry jam, raspberry jam, honey or lemon curd.
Fall / Winter Appetizers: Baked Brie with Fig jam, pomegranates or cranberries.
Do you remove the brie rind before baking?
Can you eat the rind or the βskinβ on Brie? Yes, the bloomy rind is completely safe to eat! As with all soft rind cheese, the rind was meant to be eaten with the cheese. The rind on Brie not only protects and encases the cheese β it also adds a subtle, earthy flavor. With a soft and tender texture, it is meant to complement the paste inside. The combination adds up to more than the sum of its parts β the two taste better together. All that said, itβs up to you! Eat or not.
But I sliced off the top to form a βbowlβ, leaving the sides in the bottom. This acts as a bowl to hold all the cheesy goodness.
How to Prepare and Make Brie in the Oven?
Wondering how to prepare and bake brie in the oven? It's easier than you might think! Start by removing any packaging from the brie wheel and placing it on a baking dish or parchment-lined baking sheet. You can leave the rind on, or slice the very top off to form a bowl for your toppings. Bake the brie in a preheated oven at 350Β°F (175Β°C) for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is soft and gooey.
Baked Brie Air Fryer
If you're short on time or want a quicker alternative, consider using the baked brie air fryer method. To make baked brie in an air fryer, preheat the air fryer to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Place the brie in a heat-safe dish or use an air fryer basket lined with parchment paper. Air fry for approximately 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. This method yields a crispy exterior and a gooey interior, perfect for dipping with your favorite crackers or bread slices. Take a peak, though; all air fryers are different, and if you leave it too long, it will ooze out everywhere. Donβt ask me how I know. haha.

- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Place brie round on an ovenproof serving dish (i use these mini cast iron pans) I like to lay parchment paper down on a baking sheet for easy clean up.
