Easy Cheesy Herby Pull-Apart Bread. Perfect for any gathering or a side dish for dinner!

Ingredients

  • Butter to grease skillet
  • One 16-ounce tube of refrigerated flaky biscuits (8 biscuits)
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 Tablespoon, garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan
  • Rosemary Olive Oil, I prefer KC Olive Tree Olive Oils

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly butter a 6-8 inch cast-iron skillet
  2. Remove the biscuits from the package. Gently pull the layers apart at the middle to divide the biscuits in half. Again, gently pull each of the halves apart so you are left with four thin, round biscuits each (32 in all). They may not be the same thickness and that's ok! Also, don't worry if any biscuits tear, just press them back together.
  3. Place 1 teaspoon of the mozzarella in the center of each biscuit round. Fold the dough around the cheese and roll it into balls.
  4. Arrange the balls in a circle around the edge of the prepared skillet, then work your way in until you have completely filled the cast-iron pan with the dough balls. If you start to run out of room as you get closer to the center of the skillet, gently push the dough from the center towards the edges of the pan to make more space. If you have extra room, just spread them out a bit.
  5. Add butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and kosher salt to a bowl. Cover to keep from splattering and melt in the microwave. (check every few seconds, it goes fast)
  6. Pour the melted butter mixture evenly over the top of the dough and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake until the dough is cooked through and golden brown, 20 to 30 minutes depending on the skillet size. Remove from oven and drizzle with Rosemary olive oil and Kosher Salt.
  8. Serve in the skillet.

Notes
