Alfredo Pizza?

Pizza is one of those universal comfort foods that nearly everyone loves. While the classic tomato sauce and mozzarella combo is always a hit, sometimes it's fun to switch things up. Enter Alfredo pizza—a creamy, cheesy twist on the traditional pie that's just as indulgent as it sounds. Whether you're a fan of rich Alfredo chicken pizza or looking to explore new toppings, this guide has everything you need to make the perfect Alfredo pizza at home.

What is Alfredo Pizza?

Alfredo pizza is a delicious variation of traditional pizza that swaps out the usual tomato-based sauce for creamy Alfredo sauce. This change creates a rich and decadent base that pairs beautifully with various toppings, especially chicken. Alfredo on pizza adds a luxurious texture and flavor that makes every bite a treat.

Alfredo pizza isn't just about the sauce—it's also about the toppings. While you can go classic with just cheese, adding chicken to make an Alfredo chicken pizza elevates the dish even further. This combination of creamy sauce, tender chicken, and gooey cheese creates a pizza that's both satisfying and comforting.

If you're looking for something different from the usual tomato-based pizza, Alfredo pizza is a delicious alternative.

Is Alfredo pizza the same as white pizza?

While Alfredo pizza and white pizza are similar in that they both use a non-tomato-based sauce, they are not the same. White pizza typically uses a blend of ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses, sometimes with a garlic-infused olive oil base. Alfredo pizza, on the other hand, uses Alfredo sauce—a creamy sauce made from butter, cream, and Parmesan cheese. Both are delicious, but they offer different flavor profiles.

Store-Bought Alfredo Sauce?

The key to a great Alfredo pizza lies in the sauce. My favorite jarred sauce is Rao’s brand.
