Festive Christmas Cheese Board
You really can’t go wrong with a cheese spread for a party. Or any gathering, really! A big holiday celebration, or a movie night with family.
So how about this Festive Christmas Cheese Board shaped into a Wreath
You can arrange the charcuterie wreath however you’d like, and there is no wrong way or specific order. These are the steps I use to make the process easy!
Ingredient ideas:
Greenery
Rosemary
Variety of cheeses (see below)
Fresh mozzarella pearls are always fun
Prosciutto di Parma or Salami is delicious
Cranberries, either dried or fresh
Olives – Skip the jarred stuff and go straight to the olive bar!
Assembling the cheese wreath is very easy. Don’t overthink it; there’s no need for a ruler or measurements!
Start by making a circle with the greens and filling it with everything else. I love the look of a rosemary charcuterie wreath, and I also like to use evergreens or bay leaves.
Select a round serving platter or a plate. Or you could use a festive Christmas cheese board it a plain wood board like I did here.
Next, the cheese. I love quality cheeses and a good selection, so my go-to is Hen House Market. The perfect cheeseboard features a variety of textures and flavors. Ideally, one cheese of the four basic categories: aged, soft, firm, and blue or gorgonzola.
Cut up different cheeses into bite-sized pieces. Distribute several piles of cheese around the circle.
Fill in as desired with fruits and nuts. I love fresh or dried cranberries for a festive touch.
Tips
Start with the largest chunks of cheese and move on to the smaller ones.
The wreath can be assembled several hours beforehand. Store in the refrigerator, but take it out an hour before serving. Cheese should be served at room temperature.
That’s it, I hope you love it!
